Our Hands at Work
Christian Hand "The Leoda Jusma Foundation"
is a non-for-profit charitable Christian
organization that was founded in memory of an exemplary
role model who preached the Word of God by her actions and
her loving care for God’s people in Haiti. It is deemed
necessary to continue the work of God in our beloved
country, Haiti. Our goal is that by our action the Word
of God can captivate the heart of the indigenous people;
it is also our hope that even the more fortunate would
draw closer to God by watching our work. Christian hand
does not belong to any denomination or church. It is
just the work of faithful Christians who want to obey
God’s commands.
Haiti is considered the
poorest country in the western hemisphere with 80% of
the population lives in abject poverty. Education and
healthcare are considered as luxury. Even with the
spread of the gospel, their faith is confusing; a great
majority of people still seek voodooist means to resolve their
problems.
We would like to put
into place activities for the amelioration of the
socio-economic conditions and healthcare of the population, for better
education of the young and adults. We want to help
combat hunger, diseases, and the crisis threatening the
lives of the helpless men, women and children of Haiti.
